Interaction of slip bands with the boundary of a bicrystal of an Fe–Si alloy was studied using several X‐ray topographic techniques. The observed extinction and orientation contrast is interpreted on the basis of a simple model of a single‐slip system and a superdislocation placed at the intersection of the slip band and bicrystal boundary.
