By the example of machine-building products the model of visualization of their quality indicators at different stages of life cycle is offered. It is shown that to visualize the influence of technological heredity on the quality indices of the product it is most demonstrative to use the graph theory and the Liebich metaphorical barrel. The proposed approach allows to use the principle of cybernetics, according to which the product, at each stage of its life cycle, is presented in the form of a set of separate elements connected with each other in a single information network. The joint use of the graph theory and the Liebich metaphorical barrel allows evaluating the studied indices and visually displaying them in the complex. The main advantage of this approach is the ability to illustrate which of the set of quality indicators of a particular product is most significant.
