Data envelopment analysis was used to analyze the land use efficiency of Vietnam and its six regions in 2011-2017, and then the Malmquist index was used to investigate the changes of the land use efficiency of Vietnam and its six regions and 63 provinces and cities in 2011-2017. The study found that the overall land use efficiency in Vietnam is low and there are serious regional imbalances, but the overall situation is improving year by year.
