In order to overcome the shortcomings of the traditional workflow engine structure and defects, this study proposes a loosely coupled lightweight workflow engine based on SCA (Service Component Architecture) and BPEL (Business Process Execution Language for Web Service, also known as WS-BPEL or BPEL4WS) engine. The support for traditional workflow engines for heterogeneous is improved by the separation between business logic and transport protocol, so that the engine is no longer limited to a specific transport protocol.
