The geometry pig is widely used to detect pipeline geometry deformation in the field of oil and gas pipeline. As the core component, the detecting arm is very important for pipeline deformation detection. Firstly, this paper introduces the composition and principle of the detection arm system. Secondly, the design principles and methods of sensor circuit are described from the chip selection and circuit design. Finally, the layout of the spring and the key structure design method of the detection arm are discussed.
