Isolation of dermatophytes and other keratinophilic fungi from soils of Jammu, India

Summary A total of 112 soil samples collected from various areas of Jammu, India, were screened for the prevalence of keratinophilic fungi and related dermatophytes. From 65 positive samples (58.1%), a total of six genera with 13 species were isolated.
