in Uruguay. The disease occurredonly in one plantation in the Levalleja area, and damagewas uniform throughout the stand. The rust producedegg-yolk yellow pustules on the leaves and resulted inshoot-tip dieback. The characteristic pustules and mor-phological examination of uredinia and urediniosporesshowed that the fungus was indistinguishable from
