Summary We report a 19‐year‐old woman with the associated disorders of generalized pruritus, hypertrichosis and anorexia nervosa, all of which had been present for approximately 4 months. Psychotherapy induced both weight gain and resolution of the pruritus. We propose that anorexia‐associated pruritus be considered one of the important cutaneous signs in anorexia nervosa.
