Different types of estimators are used to evaluate the parameters of the linear models of two hydrologic systems. The first system is relevant to the junctions of the Arno River and the Chiana River in Italy. The second system is relevant to the hydrologic basin of the Sieve River, a tributary of the Arno. In all the cases examined, which are well represented by linear models, the constrained estimator shows its higher level of efficiency.
