A simplified inversion procedure for calculating electron density profiles from ionograms for use with minicomputers

The method presented in this paper was developed especially for use on small computers without significant loss of accuracy. It can be applied to either of the magnetoionic components and includes the option of a first‐order ‘valley’ correction.
