In my editorial on the President's Page of the July issue I proposed comparing the cost per 1000 words, for several journals of interest to you. An error in production resulted in the omission of the suggestion that you use the cost per 1000 words as a simple test for excessive profit, lack of broad distribution, or inefficiency of publication and have your library cut out those journals for which the cost is over 10¢ per 1000 words.
