To test the hypothesis that gabexate mesilate, a protease inihibitor, hastens recovery from neuromuscular blockade, we examined the effect of gabexate mesilate on the recovery of vecuronium-induced neuromuscular blockade in anaesthetized patients in a double-blind, randomized fashion.
