Today is a challenging time for hospitals and nurse managers. Times of nursing shortage and the presence of more critically ill patients demand creative strategies. More importantly, it encourages perioperative nurses to advance their skills, making them better prepared to care for the seriously ill surgical patient in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
