with a characteristic pattern of structural brain changes in MCI that largely resemble the pattern seen in AD patients. Moreover, faster progression of brain atrophy in presence of lower baseline levels of Aß1-42 and higher levels of p-tau181p suggests that these CSF biomarker reflect AD brain pathology. Overall, CSF Aß1-42 and p-tau181p together with rates of cortical atrophy measured by MRI are promising candidates for early detection of AD in individuals with MCI.
