Using the tangent viscoplastic model of Molinari, Canova and Abzi (1987) in its general anisotropic formulation, the strain localisation behaviour of spherical inclusions is examined for the case of von Mises type viscoplastic creep. The obtained results are compared to the finite element results of Gilormini and Germain (1987) and good agreements have been obtained.
