The present paper performs an example towards the theory of the slip line field for fluid‐saturated porous solids. The limit load, the stress distribution in the plastic region and the slip line field are determined for an elongated obtuse wedge under the action of one‐sided pressure. The non‐porous solid wedge arises from the present calculations as a limiting case.
