The problems of Stokes flow of an incompressible Newtonian fluid between corrugated plates are considered. The corrugations are of small amplitude ϵ and are represented by stationary random functions. An exact solution (up to O(ϵ 2 )) is developed leading to an expression for the pressure drop enhancement as a function of the statistics of the corrugations. Simplifications of this expression in the case of sinuisoidal and slowly‐varying corrugations are discussed.
