The cover picture illustrates the capacity of selenium to form entertaining new types of intermolecular bonding with tin and itself in the solid state, resulting in monomer → dimer → polymer transformation as tin Lewis acidity increases. Such interactions clearly distinguish Se chemistry from that of S, where only intramolecular interaction have been observed for the related congeners.
