In article number 1904290, Gang Zhao, Yuanjin Zhao, and co‐workers propose a novel cryopreservation method for β cells by combining cold‐responsive nanocapsules and alginate hydrogel encapsulation. Great cell viability is obtained without using any toxic cryoprotectant and the cryopreserved β cell‐laden hydrogels can be transplanted into diabetic rats for blood glucose regulation.
