Abstract This article describes the application of advanced technologies for up‐to‐date display systems. A method for manufacturing of holographic films with high runability for roll‐to‐roll technology is considered. The way for improving the properties of the filters, optical phase retarders, wave plates and other using nanotrench filling technology is proposed. The use of nanocomposite materials for microelectromechanical systems of high reliability and their application to improve the mechanical properties of movable micromirror arrays, switches, microactuators are investigated.
