Abstract We have measured the thermoelectric power of pure iron and two dilute iron‐platinum alloys between 10 and 1200°K, and of pure nickel and two dilute iron–nickel alloys between 10 and 300°K. The results strongly suggest that magnon‐drag is dominant in iron over a wide temperature range, and constitute the first indication of this mechanism in a ferromagnetic metal.
