A time‐dependent Fourier route is proposed to study quantum dynamics in the presence of curve crossing. The method is tested on a model problem and is then used to study the predissociation dynamics of NaI by a femtosecond laser pulse. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Int J Quantum Chem, 2002
