Abstract Measurements of the Hall coefficient of the dilute Cu Pd, Cu Rh, Cu Zr, and Cu Y alloys are made in a magnetic field up to about 3 T and 4.2 K. The Hall coefficients show the trend to depend on the valence of the 4d impurities. The results are discussed in the spirit of the Friedel‐Anderson model of virtual bound states in Cu.
