Asimple protocol for the efficient preparation of 6‐(ferrocene‐1‐yl)‐2‐(indol‐3‐yl)pyridine and 2‐(1 H ‐indol‐3‐yl)‐6‐(2‐thienyl)pyridine derivatives has been achieved through multi‐component reaction, and these compounds were thoroughly characterised by 2D NMR spectral techniques.
