Abstract The analysis of half circular disk loaded with symmetrical notches is presented based on circuit concept. The bandwidth is found to depend on the parameters of the notches as well as the width of the central patch. Theoretical results are compared with the simulated results obtained from IE3D, which are found to be in close agreement. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
