In the fractional Schrodinger equation with a PT symmetric potential, the band structure at the critical point becomes linear. Therefore, if the input light excites the mode of the linear band, light will exhibit a conical diffraction during propagation, i.e., the intensity distribution of the light is along a ring ‐ the radius of the ring increase linearly during propagation but the width of the ring remains the same.
