The first experimental demonstration to amplify spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) with high gain is presented at microwave frequencies using a sub‐wavelength‐scale amplifier chip, which can be used as an SPP amplifier. The proposed method advances a big step towards other active SPP components and SPP integrated circuits at microwave and terahertz frequencies.
