The sketch shows schematically the operation of a THz labon‐a‐chip device based on amicrofluidic platformcoupled to an integrated plasmonic antenna. The system uses a quantum cascade laser as illumination source and liquid volumes down to the picoliter range are probed. A proof‐of‐concept experiment is represented in which single 10‐μm diameter (~λ/10) microparticles flowing in themicrofluidic channel are identified and investigated.
