For a very long time numerous devices have been proposed to compress the tritium gas stocked under reduced pressure. The Toepler pump is nevertheless the most utilized apparatus for this purpose, despite many disadvantages. To avoid the troubles of a conventional vacuum line. an automatic gas transfert machine has been built.
