The reaction of hexachloropropene ( 2 ) with hexachloro‐ 1.3‐cyclopentadiene ( 1 ) to perchloro‐4‐methylene‐1‐cyclopentene ( 3 ) is studied with 14 C‐ and 36 Cl‐ labelled compounds. 3 contains C‐1 or C‐3 of 2 . 36 Cl is statistically distributed on the compounds of the system. At 220° 2 is isomerized.
