Tributyltin‐113 benzoate was prepared from tin metal labelled with tin‐113, by a three step synthesis, with a chemical yield of 37%. The radio‐chemical yield was 22%. The amount of tributyltin‐113 benzoate prepared was 1.3 g, the specific activity 0.7 mC/gram, and the radiochemical purity 98.9%. Apart from Sn‐113 no other gamma‐emitting tin isotopes were present, neither did antimony radio‐isotopes occur.
