We found that inorganic compounds labelled with 32 P such as P 2 S 5 , PCl 3 , PSCl 3 , POCl 3 , and H 3 PO 4 can be obtained by a newsimple method, with good yields and a high specificactivity. The carrier free 32 P resulting through the nuclear reaction 32 S( n, p ) 32 P from elementary sulphur was concentrated on red phosphorus and active carbon. Then, by chemical reactions with phosphorus pentachloride or elementary sulphur, PCl 3 , POCl 3 , PSCl 3 , and P 2 S 5 labelled with 32 P are obtained. Carrier free H 3 32 PO 4 is obtained by desorption of radiophosphorus from active carbon with 2M HNO 3 at 80 °C.
