In the present study, we investigated the possibilities for radiolabeling of antibodies with trivalent 201 Tl, to be applied in Radioimmuscintigraphy. Our preliminary experiments were focused on the development of a method for oxidation of 201 Tl(I) into a form suitable for antibody labeling via DTPA as chelating agent. We also studied methods for the determination of the radiochemical purity of 201 Tl(III) and of 201 Tl labeled radioimmunoconjugate, as well as for the optimization of procedures for labeling antibodies with 201 Tl(III). The in vitro stability of 201 Tl‐radioimmunoconjugate was determined, and the biodistribution of 201 Tl(III) and 201 Tl‐radioimmunoconjugate in normal rodents was evaluated.
