Synthesis of dihydrochloride of (−)‐cis‐2,8‐dimethyl‐6‐[ 3 H]‐2,3,4,4a,5,9b‐hexahydro‐1H‐pyrido[4,3b]indole by catalytic reductive dehalogenation of dihydrochloride of (−)‐cis‐2,8‐dimethyl‐6‐bromo‐2,3,4,4a,5,9b‐hexahydro‐1H‐pyrido[4,3b]indole is described together with the reaction conditions of the tritiation using 5% Pd/BaSO 4 (UVVVR) in 0.1 M phosphate buffer pH 7.4. Specific activity of the product was 0.9 TBq.mmol −1 , its radiochemical purity 96%.
