NPA has been labelled using n‐propyl iodidie (d 7 ) through alkylation of norcodeine followed by a multistep route which also affords the related deuterated analogs N‐n‐propylnorapocodeine (d 7 ), the prodrug 10,11‐methylenedioxy‐NPA (d 7 ) and 10,11‐dimethoxy‐NPA (d 7 ).
