Abstract A practical 2‐step synthesis of 3‐amino‐1‐methyl‐5H‐pyrido[4,3‐b]indole‐1‐ 14 C is described, starting from 2‐cyanomethyl indole and carbonyl‐labeled acetyl chloride.
