High yields of cyclic AMP (cAMP) and cyclic GMP (cGMP) could be obtained by near quantitative conversions of adenine and guanine by aerobically‐grown nonproliferating cells of Corynebacterium murisepticum. The procedure is especially suited for the preparation of 14 C or 3 H labelled cAMP and cGMP from respective purine base precursors.
