The synthesis of dimethyl‐[ 35 S]sulphide in high yield from the contact of hydrogen‐[ 35 S]sulphide and methanol over a γ Al 2 O 3 .1% SiO 2 catalyst is described. The procedure produces high yields of dimethyl‐[ 35 S] sulphide of low specific activity compared to that of the hydrogen‐ [ 35 S]sulphide starting material.
