Procedures were developed for synthesis of the carcinogenic compounds 5‐methylchrysene‐5‐ 14 C, 2‐methylaniline‐methyl‐ 14 C and 3‐methyl‐2‐naphthyl‐amine‐methyl‐ 14 C. In each case, label was introduced with 14 CO 2 and yields were acceptable for preparation of these compounds for metabolic studies.
