Synthesis of Calcitonin Derivatives by Fragment Condensation in Solution and on 2‐Chlorotrityl Resin Ser 2 ,Val 8 ,Gly 33 )‐human calcitonin ( 13 ) was synthesized in 45% yield by sequential assembly of protected fragments on 2‐chlorotrityl resin. An analogous synthesis by fragment condensation in solution yielded (Ser 2 ,Val 8 )‐human calcitonin ( 21 ) in 10% yield.
