(2 S ,3 R ,4 E )‐1‐ O ‐(β‐ D ‐Glucopyranosyl)‐ N ‐[30′‐(linoleoyloxy)triacontanoyl]‐4‐icosasphingenine ( 1 ) was synthesized from D ‐glucose, L ‐serine, 15‐pentadecanolide, and linoleic acid. The high‐field 1 H‐NMR spectrum of 1 was identical with that of the esterified cerebroside isolated from human and pig epidermis.
