Condensation of diaminothiadiazine 1,1‐dioxides 1 or 8 with α‐keto acid esters affords 7‐oxopyrazino[2,3‐ c ][1,2,6]thiadiazine 2,2‐dioxides 2–4 and 9 . Further chemical transformations yield 6‐substituted derivatives. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds are discussed on the basis of 1 H‐ and 13 C‐NMR data, UV spectra and p K α values.
