System Security Engineering is a specialty domain of System Engineering as defined in the INCOSE System Engineering Handbook V4. To effectively integrate security practices, processes, and concepts into System Engineering requires considerable thought and effort. One of the opportunities to accomplish this is in the standards domain. This paper discusses an ongoing INCOSE initiative to influence the contents of security standards under development for compatibility with Systems Engineering principles and practices.
