The purpose of Total Ship Design (TSD) is to perform both, Cost and Mission Effectiveness analysis and Cost and Risks analysis. This paper presents a part of this process: the Value Analysis. In particular the discussion will be focused on the Value Analysis methodology set‐up and its main entities, Cost Analysis and Effectiveness Analysis.
