As the rate of technology change accelerates, technology change management and the risks associated with technology change grow increasingly important to every systems engineering endeavor. This paper provides an overview of both risk management and technology change management so the similarities of these processes can be highlighted. Further, this paper describes the interactions and synergies between risk management and technology change management, and between the specific elements of these two critical processes.
