This paper focuses on three observed‐score methods for linear equating in a N on‐ E quivalent‐groups A nchor T est ( NEAT ) design—Tucker, Levine observed‐score, and chain. The methods and their assumptions are described, and theoretical conditions under which the three methods give identical results are presented.
