Abstract New super‐multi‐domain polymer sustained alignment (PSA) liquid crystal displays are developed. Compared to the conventional approach, it has the merits of simpler structure, lower cost, and better transmittance. Moreover, premium picture quality with very little oblique gamma distortion and color shift like in‐plane switching (IPS) mode is obtained.
