The novel adaptive modal LC lens with central electrode (CMLC‐lens) is proposed. The distribution of voltage approached ideal parabola and lens‐like phase difference for the large aperture is obtained base on optimizing frequency and resistance. ITO film as high resistance layer is prepared by sputtering with the sheet resistance to be controllable. The adaptive CMLC‐lens as single lens has much advantage for the application to needs large aperture lens.
