Transparent Electrowetting display (EWD) has been considered as one of the promising technologies for transparent display application. The performance and reliability of transparent EWD were studied and improved in this research. The surface modified of rib structure was implemented to inhibit oil overflow and patternable hydrophobic layer was also developed to deal with oil non‐recovery issue.
