The Research Foundation has both service functions and creative functions. How it serves, and what it creates, can depend on the stimulation and interaction provided by individuals in the Brewing Industry. The activities of the Research Foundation are part of Industry strategy in preparing for the future, and are the proper concern of all members of the Institute and the Industry. Speedy and effective transfer of information could be promoted by more extensive secondment or transfer of staff between Industry and Foundation, in both directions.
